World Vision Qld

"As a result of Suzanne's efforts, this year's media campaign was our most successful ever, particularly in terms of television and print coverage. This included a seven-minute story on "Today Tonight" on Channel 7, which Suzanne successfully negotiated with the producers."
Michael Fawsitt
World Vision State Manager.
Brief:
World Vision needed to achieve maximum media coverage for the largest annual fundraising event in Australia, the 40 Hour Famine.
Solution:Suzanne Strong of Strong Media Solutions produced astounding results in the print and broadcast media most notably producing an additional 200 participants in the year 2000.
Three World Vision campaigns have been conducted by Suzanne since 1999. These campaigns involved liaison with multiple media outlets arranging coverage daily in regional and metropolitan Queensland.
Suzanne was highly organised in the generation of angles and contacting media outlets in a timely manner so they could arrange photography and/or interviews.
Benefits:World Vision received the benefit of having a platform to encourage people to join the Famine and also to support those already doing the Famine.
These media campaigns allowed World Vision spokespeople to raise important issues and to highlight the ways they are working throughout the year, not just at Famine time.
This wide media coverage spread information across the state which directly led to more Famine participants and more financial support for children around the world.
